SLANT at the Apple Day!

On Apple Day, the University of Bristol Botanical Garden organized a cider-making event with the aim of reducing the wastage of garden apples and bringing together the community.

SLANT was invited to the event to transport apples using SLANT technology.

We quickly built a low-fidelity cart and electrified it with our technology. We successfully tested our prototype and gathered valuable insights to enhance our technology.

The powered cart did more than 10 trips, with an average load of 80 kg of apples on each trip, and users described carrying 80 kilograms of apples as pushing a feather.
